From the Artist: Reading the Leaves: Study in Tea #1 uses paper that I stained with used tea leaves, and a charcoal drawing. Tea is a very big part of my life, and I aimed to invoke a steamy, comforting feeling. Once I participated in an unusual exercise, wherein we meditated on a moment in our lives when we felt supremely at ease, and content. The moment I chose involved a comfortable chair, an interesting book, a cat and a perfect cup of Quiet Shire (from Gryphon's Tea in Bloomfield).
Acrylic wall art that feels like a quiet breath — soft, muted tones printed in high definition on archival photographic paper, fused beneath a crystal-clear acrylic face. The image sits on a sturdy white vinyl backing and the hand-polished edges catch light delicately, giving the piece a subtle glow from different angles. A French cleat system and included screws make mounting secure and straightforward; step-by-step instructions are provided so the artwork hangs true and flat. Available in multiple sizes and orientations to fit a range of wall spaces, and the water-resistant surface makes gentle cleaning simple without harming the print. This piece brings an intimate, contemplative atmosphere to bedrooms, studios, or calm corners where gentler imagery is wanted.
