I can't seem to get enough of gold. It works its way into so much of my work. I guess it comes from a love of Klimt. I used so many layers to create the textures in this piece. I wanted warmth, perhaps a response to one of Pittsburgh's gloomy winters.
This stretched matte canvas brings warm, layered color into a room without shouting. The richly textured print captures a collage-like scene of florals and soft figure outlines, giving an intimate, slightly mysterious vibe. Colors read as warm golds, deep ambers and rose tones that age beautifully under the low-gloss matte finish. Stretched on a slim 0.75" pine frame, the piece floats just off the wall and feels lived-in — like a found memory or a studio discovery. It suits quiet corners, reading nooks, or gallery arrangements where depth and atmosphere matter more than glossy perfection.
