From the artist: I can't seem to get enough of gold. It works its way into so much of my work. I guess it comes from a love of Klimt. I used so many layers to create the textures in this piece. I wanted warmth, perhaps a response to one of Pittsburgh's gloomy winters. 

Colors read as warm golds, deep ambers and rose tones that shimmer like a distant future. This light cube lamp brings warm, meditative glow and bold, graphic presence into a room. Lightweight, matte-coated polyester wraps the simple cube frame, filtering LED or CFL light into a calm ambient wash. Choose a standard cord with integrated plug for movable use on a desk or floor, or a pendant cord for a semi-permanent ceiling installation that brightens a living room, studio, or reading nook. Care instructions
- The lamp comes inside of the box with the shade packed upside down. When you remove it from the box (following the instructions printed on the inner flaps), you remove the plastic ring, remove the shade, turn the shade right side up and then secure it to the socket with the plastic ring again.
- Wipe the dust off gently with a soft, dry cloth.
